21st annual festival features celebrity chef demonstrations, entertainment, Maui onion recipe contest for amateurs and professionals, exhibits, and a walk through farmer’s market. Special shopping promotions start April 26 at the more than 90 shops & restaurants at Whalers Village. 2010 participating celebrity chefs include Mark Ellman of Mala’s Ocean Tavern, Roy Yamaguchi of Roy’s Restaurants, D.K. Kodama of Sansei Restaurants and Cane & Taro (Maui), James McDonald of Pacific’O and I’O Restaurants, and 2009 winner David Paul of David Paul’s Island Grill in Lahaina. Molokai's 1st Agricultural County Fair will showcase Molokai grown produce and animal products. The all day event features a Country Store, Keiki Corner, Haku Lei Making Contest & Classes, and Food and Craft booths. Live entertainment is by Cityside & Sean Naauaoa. Other attractions include a Dog Show, Game Fowl Show, Grease Pig Contest, and sustainable food recipe contest. This event is 9 a.m. - 5 p.m., free and open to the public.

In the footsteps of his father, Hawaiian Music Master Cyril Pahinui has brought together a group of close friends and family members to continue the Pahinui legacy. In the Pahinui Hawaiian Band are longtime friend and steel guitarist, Greg Sardinha, nephew, Kunia Galdeira, master slack key and bass player, Sonny Lim, and student, Peter Moon, son of renowned ‘ukulele master by the same name. Cyril’s equally well-known older brother, Bla Pahinui, makes guest appearances. Pahinui Hawaiian Band continues to perpetuate the rich, vibrant sound of patriarch, Gabby Pahinui, with musical qualities that only the Pahinui family can create.
