21st annual festival features celebrity chef demonstrations, entertainment, Maui onion recipe contest for amateurs and professionals, exhibits, and a walk through farmer’s market. Special shopping promotions start April 26 at the more than 90 shops & restaurants at Whalers Village. 2010 participating celebrity chefs include Mark Ellman of Mala’s Ocean Tavern, Roy Yamaguchi of Roy’s Restaurants, D.K. Kodama of Sansei Restaurants and Cane & Taro (Maui), James McDonald of Pacific’O and I’O Restaurants, and 2009 winner David Paul of David Paul’s Island Grill in Lahaina. Whalers Village is located at 2435 Kaanapali Parkway in Kaanapali Beach Resort. Free admission.
