18th annual festival celebrates the rich culture and history of the Hawaiians, with workshops, demonstrations and entertainment, and special guest appearances. This is a unique opportunity to experience the authenticity of “Hawaiian heart and soul” through demonstrations in hula and chant, hands-on workshops in Hawaiian art and genuine one-on-one interaction with local Village Gallery artists.

Third annual Maui County Agricultural Festival is a must-attend event for those seeking to learn about local agriculture, and its vital role in creating a sustainable future for Maui. Farmers Market, farm and barnyard games, educational and informational booths, a living farm, demonstrations and contests at Center Stage, highlight the day’s events. Admission is free. Festival hours are 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.

An annual student exhibit, Maui students, grades K-8, create and display their artistic works of an imaginary neighborhood. Using basic materials and the spirit of collaboration, students create a colossal rambling neighborhood in two and three dimensional environments. Open Tuesday - Saturday, 11 am  - 5pm, free admission.

Barry Flanagan and Nathan Aweau are Hapa, one of Hawaii's premiere music groups. Like the Hawaiian Islands, Hapa's pan-Polynesian music is an amalgam of influences ranging from ancient genealogical chants to the strummed ballads of Portuguese fisherman and Spanish cowboys and the inspirational melodies of early missionaries. At the Fair, local non-profit agencies show how you can help your island neighbors and have fun learning about community programs that work with youth, seniors, the environment, building of homes, and much more.

The Hawaiian steel guitar festival is an event to preserve, educate and promote the steel guitar as a viable musical genre that is uniquely Hawaiian.  The instrument was invented by a Hawaiian and has received world wide acceptance as an instrument and musical genre that is being played in many different musical styles. Henry Allen is one of Hawai'i's "Living Treasures of Hawaiian Music". Henry, and a stunning group of featured musicians, will perform in several free concerts. Workshops and presentations available each day. This 2nd annual Festival is sponsored by County of Maui, Hawaii Tourism Authority, Kaanapali Beach Hotel, and Arts Education for Children Group.

Honoring the 137th birthday of Lahaina Town’s famous landmark, the Banyan Tree’s birthday party will include birthday cake, a clown and games, artists displaying nature artworks, and hands-on activities for children. Admission is free, 9am – 5pm.
